HELP!! I held a fundraising tea party in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support over the weekend. BUT I now have leftover cake in the house and I’m trying to she’d the pounds! I’ve given away to who I can (many others want to lose weight too!) but still a bit left. Now the easy option is to throw them away…but I worked hard to bake almost 30 cakes by hand! Do I just eat and enjoy then get back on track once its all finished?! Suggestions please :D
Definitely eat and enjoy! You surely deserve it!
Next month I’m doing the Race For Life with a few of my family members. We’re running 5K to raise money for Cancer Research. This is a super important cause and if anyone would like to help by sponsoring please visit our donation page:

Even the smallest amount helps loads! If you are able to donate then thank you SO much, it really means a lot :)

This is a photo I shot at the Tate Modern in London; it comes from one part of a three-part light installation which is definitely worth seeing if you go there. Just love the way the light refracts down the tube. Beautiful color play…
This has to be my favorite movie of all-time… The re-mastered Metropolis by Fritz Lang. This image is so evocative of everything the entire movie is about. Just a beautiful, beautiful piece of German Expressionist cinema. Just a gorgeous, perfectly shot movie. If you haven’t seen it, DO! It’s worth every second (and it’s long!)

Here is a short film created in 1946 by the Nikitchenko brothers called ‘Optical Overlay’ demonstrating pioneering special effects for it’s time. The film is about five minutes of David Ashkenazi playing the piano while a sailor played by Vladimir Zernov accompanies by dancing. While the film seems relatively harmless, it’s called the Russian Terminator for a reason, at around the three minute mark it makes a completely unexpected turn, and a rather unnerving one at that. Worst of all, the film was produced by Soyuzdetfilm, the official production company of films for children, possibly meaning they were being shown this as well.
